The museum had been looking forward to re-opening after the long lockdown and we spent considerable time, energy and money in adjusting the museum to comply with Government guidelines. We actually re-opened on the last weekend in July as a trial and this was successful; it had been our intention to restrict opening to Saturdays and Sundays only until visitors and volunteers had confidence that there was a minimum risk from the virus. Once this was achieved we would revert to our schedule of 6 days a week. Unfortunately the Grampian Health Board region has experienced a spike in suspected cases and we have taken the decision to remain closed until the current situation has stabalised. Apologies to all our potential visitors.
